Goodness me, it's taken 2 years to remember my password!
In that time, I have been blessed with a second grandson, who answers to Ned.  He has just had his first birthday.
Have had several personal  ups and downs, done a fair amount of family research, and even made some money.  Sewing has been a bit slack but seem to have my mojo back.
Had a trip to England and was thrilled to meet Jan, and also Juliet.
Now I just have to remember how to download some photos.
Hmm....

happy new year!!

Jan and Caz, I agree with you both, I love the smell of real books and you can't beat going to sleep with one on your face!

I am just having fun with it for now, I am sure the novelty will wear off. I usually pack half a dozen books in my bag when I go on holiday so it will be nice to lighten my load.

I have just finished reading my second real book for the weekend, and am just about to find another one and take myself off to bed.

Jan, will look for you on skype when I get up in the morning, it is raining here, has been for weeks. some summer we are having, certainly nothing to skite about.

happy new year!

I am here Jan, just got tied up with family history, and needed to do something about my garden, it was looking rather neglected.

And this Kindle I got for Xmas has me totally absorbed, what a neat way to read books!

Happy New Year to you all!

oowww!

the next time I go to the dentist, there is a certain part of his anatomy I would like to grab hold of, before he starts prodding my sore tooth. Then we will see who is the man!

I went hoping for instant relief, not more pain. And these antibiotics better work, cos the pain killers sure aren't!

Stuff I have made

My first mystery quilt. I think it has been the one I enjoyed the most, as the shapes really had me wondering what I was going to end up with.

Once I put it all together, I gave it to one of the elderly residents at my work. She is always telling me the "girl in the office made it"!

The quilt on the right, I made for Jack, it depicts our two cats, doing what they did best, the cat on the right has now gone to moggy heaven.

This one was also for Jack, the reverse can be used as a quilt, on the side that is showing, the buildings all velcro into place and Jack can push the trains around. I wrapped every peice individually so that he had lots of parcels on Christmas Day!

This Girly Quilt was made for my daughter-in-law Sally, for her 30th birthday. It was a block of the month over 10 months and was a delight to make.

Siobhan's quilt, made for Chritsmas
2010, in her favourite colors. Did the blocks at a class I went to, tedious pinning the stack but lots of fun seeing the different patterns emerge.

Bitching time........

Work sux and I don't mean that in a nice way. Had a run-in with one of the nurses and am totally pissed off. And I hate feeling like that, its not normal for me.

Pity I can't write exactly how I feel, you will all be telling me to wash my mouth out with soap. so now I am going to bed, and dream about beating the $#@% out of her!
